Just featured in Politico as one of "the nation's top political cartoonists"
Kamala caricature + audio recording and video recording of my process + self-portrait published!
I'm honored to have been featured at the very top of POLITICO's new feature piece on the nation's "top political cartoonists" and how they draw Kamala Harris!
Politico has published a timelapse showing my creative process for drawing Kamala Harris and an audio recording that shares the core ideas informing my interpretation, as well as four of my other cartoons for
My Instagram, Twitter, and Substack have also all been prominently featured as well. Greetings, if this feature is what brought you here!
I'm so grateful to Matt Wuerker for this incredible opportunity... what an enormous honor it is to be featured amongst Pulitzer and Reuben winners!
And because if you’re a Substack subscriber of mine you get special privileges: in my feature I mention that my first presidential caricature was “Trump, as an anthropomorphic mouse in front of a White House decorated with cheese. For some reason.”
Here is that drawing.
I put this up on my DeviantART when I was 18. I wish it was earlier than that.
This POLITICO feature is a highlight of my work as a political cartoonist so far. I’m over the moon.
The moral of the story is that if you draw Trump as an obese mouse you’ll get featured in Politico 6 years later.
Wonderful! You’re AWESOME 😎 Congratulations 🎊
Congrats Alex ❤️
